I recently signed up for a really neat app or website called Vinted, which is a service like Poshmark that lets you shop fellow fashionistas’ closets or swap with their items. A lot of the stuff I have on there I amassed from years past that do not necessarily reflect my style or my size. However, I’ve been using it to sell my personal clothes as well. Some of the things I have listed are practically to give away, because I just want to make room around the house! So if you find anything you see from my closet, just send me a reasonable offer. I will most likely accept!

Thank you to Independent Fashion Bloggers for picking my post about Raveonettes last week! I didn’t even notice. It was quite timely because Rob and I just saw them in DC (at Black Cat) last Wednesday! Here is a photo and a video from my Instagram. They are definitely one of my favorite modern rock bands ever.
This was a nice surprise for my 27th birthday! Thank you, thank you, thank you IFB for choosing one of my posts on your weekly blogroll. Please do check out other cool topics from the list of posts below!
Style Secrets Revealed
There are so many “secrets” in the style industry. It’s all smoke and mirrors, or so they say. We’re here to put an end to that. As bloggers, we like to share those secrets often whispered between friends. No, not who you kissed at the party last night! What to pack on your trip, how to get your sunglasses fitted, what are the best pairs of black tights around, and heck, even compare your wardrobe to that of a woman living in the 1930’s.
Thank you, Independent Fashion Bloggers for the feature! Check out some of the fun posts from other IFB members below.
RANDOM QUESTION: Who among you follow a certain faith (non-Hindu) and practice yoga? Has yoga affected your faith in any way?
Summer is Coming
For those of us who love summer… getting ready for the vacations, the travel, the cut-off shorts… is almost just as fun as the actual summer months. This week we have a fantastic roundup of everything you need to know to get ready for summer. Purging your closet, getting festival ready, getting your nails all done and so much more. So grab your iced coffee and cozy up, these links are fantastic!
Thank you for IFB for picking my post for this week! So who’s stuck at home once again with this snow? Yesterday though Rob and I had a chance to just lay out on top of a hill with sunshine on our faces and nothing but a light jacket on! We managed to take a nap before we had to work on errands that evening—and before it got windy and therefore cold. I want to just lay outside again and take a nap OUTDOORS on a nice, sunny day. When was the last time you’ve done that? It feels so good to just connect with the earth, sun on our skin, wind in our hair. For us folks in the east coast, we need to take time to enjoy that whenever it happens in the winter!
Style is made of so many pieces it’s hard to focus on just one element. The beauty is the collective whole of random bits and pieces from our lives makes for an abstract pattern. What? Ok, maybe that’s a bit philosophical, then again, so are a couple of the posts in this week’s roundup. From a close look at Emilio Pucci’s outrageous prints, to dissecting the underrepresentation of lesbians in the fashion world, and decoding childhood memories influence on design, there’s a lot to look at even more closely than whether or not an outfit works.
